There are volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups, ranging in abilities, and at varying commitment levels. Please consider supporting us and become a volunteer!

Here's how those monthly donations can help:

PGP is approved for Pennsylvania's Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program as an Educational Improvement Organization. Individuals and businesses who pay taxes in PA can now redirect their tax dollars to directly support PGP.
Donors can receive up to 90% PA state income tax credit and a 10% federal itemized charitable deduction through this program.

Sponsor one of PGP's trademark events. Our annual GOAToberFest fundraiser supports PGP's year round programming and includes festive drinks and snacks, a goat art raffle, and lots of fun (and photo ops) with our 13 goats.
Our Tree Cycling days are free community festivals drawing hundreds of visitors for s'mores and hot chocolate, games, goat love, and time on the farm. These events require a tremendous amount of planning and support, and sponsors help make these critical events possible!

If you're 70-1/2 or older, you can donate up to $108,000 per tax year directly from an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to charities like Philly Goat Project. Couples may donate up to $216,000.
Distributions may be made in one large contribution or several smaller contributions during the course of the year. Contact your IRA custodian to let them know that you'd like to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution to PGP.

Gifts in honor or celebration
Looking for a special way to celebrate a loved one's birthday or anniversary? Make a donation in someone's honor. We will contact the special person/people in whose name the donation is made.
Getting married and already have everything you need? Send them PGP's way--their donation will help our goats bring the greater good all over Philadelphia.
Gifts in memoriam
PGP is honored and grateful to be considered for donations in memoriam of a friend or loved one. When you make a donation in memory of someone, we will notify family members (or other requested parties) of this donation.
You can host an online fundraiser for PGP through online crowdfunding sites such as GoFundMe or Facebook.
Be sure to let us know if you need any information from us regarding the goats or our impact in order to make your fundraiser more compelling!
Education Improvement Tax Credit (EITC)
PGP’s goats receive tens of thousands of visitors each year and travel all around Philly, including to a number of schools. During these school visits with our intelligent and social goats, education comes alive in a hands-on (and hooves-on) way.
Our school programs are dynamic, engaging, and joy-bringing. Who could resist a science lesson about the shape of goats’ eyes and the four chambers of their stomach or a poetry exercise sharing the students’ favorite goats?
You can help bring more of this programming to under-resourced schools in Philadelphia AND receive up to 90% PA state income tax credit and a 10% federal itemized charitable deduction in the process!

PGP partners with Friends of Education to make the donation process easy and streamlined.
Tax credits are limited and available on a first come-first served basis and may be applied against the tax liability for the tax year in which the contribution was made. Contact your tax professional to determine your EITC eligibility.
