Become a Part of the Herd
PGP offers volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups ranging in abilities and in age from 17 to adults. Most of our approximately 140 volunteers support daily operations and education programs in an on-going basis. Volunteers contribute thousands of hours each year and are essential members of our community! Our many programs offer a variety of volunteer experiences with a range of commitment levels and training.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Morning/evening care

Events at the farm and in the community

Gardening and trail maintenance

Carpentry, hauling, and cleaning

Administrative, educational, artistic and social media

Running errands (picking up hay, straw, etc.)

Fiscal, funding, data, board-related tasks
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

Commit to 2 hours every week or 3 hours every other week for a minimum of 6 months

Be at least 17 years old and able to get to the farm independently

Be in strong physical health with safe agility and able to lift a 5 gallon bucket of water

Be able to navigate tasks and follow directions independently

Visit the farm and attend an event to review whether we are the right fit for each other. Please check our Events calendar.

Submit a volunteer application only when ready to start volunteering within the next month.
