COVID-19 UPDATES

Dear Friends of Philly Goat Project and visitors to Awbury,

In accordance to social distancing guidelines, we have unfortunately had to cancel all public programming and events. With that being said, our grounds are open and free to visitors! Our beautiful goats, chickens, bees and gardens are being cared for daily and the goats are still walked and trained twice a day by team members in small groups as long as there is no rain. The farm is accessible to strollers and wheelchairs however there are no pubic bathrooms open at this time.

Free maps of Awbury can be downloaded here.

To keep in touch with the program virtually, we offer livestreaming via Instagram a few mornings a week so you can “visit” the goats from home! Additionally, we have started a YouTube channel, called Goat City”  which shares current educational and wellness information with young people in a fun and accessible manner.

The Philly Goat Project receives funding from educational and community based programming, all which have been cancelled due to COVID-19 protections. Please consider donating to help us maintain our excellent standards of care during this time until we can see each other again. Please sign up for our online newsletter by filling out “Stay in Touch” at the bottom of this Home Page.

GRAZING: Lastly, our goats ARE able to be set up to graze overgrown yards that are located within 25 minutes of the farm. Please consider exploring goat grazing as a way to support our herd. You can find out more about this here. They even eat poison ivy and many other invasive plants!

We are grateful to you for your understanding and support while we work together through this difficult time.
